the Australian Broadcasting Corporation’s youngest-ever senior executive to manage one of the world’s largest broadcast radio networks, covering 2.5 million square kilometers and serving more than 2 million listeners with a team of 80 people and budget of $5 million.
Australia’s influential and widely read business magazine, Business Review Weekly described his leadership style at the time as “one of the best case histories of change management - groups of fewer people on smaller budgets are achieving more, largely because they are working smarter, more creatively and as teams”.
Now as the CEO of his own consulting company, Thomas has been recognised by his peers as a Certified Speaking Professional (CSP), the highest possible international qualification and accreditation for professional speakers. There are only 464 CSP's in the world, of whom only 53 are in the Asia Pacific Region.
His latest book, Understanding Influence for Leaders at All Levels (co-author McGraw-Hill) is published in seven countries including the USA and UK.
With a passion for developing people to their full potential, Thomas is able to combine his hands on leadership experience with expertise in corporate, internal and personal branding, so organisations can live and deliver on their brand promise.
He uses metaphors from his experience as a National Junior Hammer Throw Champion to demonstrate his powerful “brand trajectory” model and a Vincent Fairfax Fellowship helps put this within the context of ethical leadership.
A graduate of three Australian Universities, he gained his MBA from the University of Western Australia with distinction.
This unique combination of leadership, branding expertise, and peak performance makes him one of Asia Pacific’s most sought after experts on branding, influence and persuasion.
